SHAWNEE ON DELAWARE, Pa. – The Drew University men's golf team is in first place after the opening round of the Landmark Conference Fall Preview, held at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.
 
The Rangers fired a 291 and hold a 10-stroke lead over Goucher College for second.
 
Individually, sophomore Elliot Parker leads the way for the Rangers after shooting a 2-under-par 70. He birdied five holes, including three on the back-9 where he shot a 34.
 
Sophomore Shiv Bhaskar fired three birdies in the opening and is just one stroke back with a 71. Junior Mike Ford is also among the leaders after posting a 73, placing him in a four-way tie for third place in the field of 46.
 
Freshman Avery Cohen completed the Rangers team scoring for the opening round, carding a 77. Classmate Nicky Riscica is also in action and opened with an 83.
 
The tournament concludes on Sunday back at the same course beginning at 8 a.m.
