CSC Academic All-District Women's Tennis Team
MADISON, N.J. – Four members of the Drew University women's tennis team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District II Women's Tennis Team.

Sanne Bloemendaal and
Danielle DelRosso, junior
Melina Christodoulou, and sophomore
Mary Kalorin all earned a spot on the team for the Rangers.
The 2022-23 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 1.
To be nominated for the CSC Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or significant reserve who has appeared in at least 50 percent of the team's games.
The four helped Drew put together a banner season, as the Rangers finished the season with a record of 19-3, which included just two losses versus NCAA opponents. Drew went undefeated in Landmark Conference regular-season play, won its second straight Landmark Conference title, and won five more matches than any team in program history.
Bloemendaal, an international relations major, is coming off a season in which was named Second Team All-Landmark Conference in both singles and doubles. She posted a 13-2 singles record competing mostly at the No. 4 spot and was a perfect 7-0 in Landmark Conference action before winning both of her matches in the Landmark Conference Championships. In addition, she has registered a 16-3 doubles record, playing mostly at the No. 2 position with Christodoulou, and was also undefeated against Landmark action in doubles (6-0). For her career, she finished 26-14 in singles and 25-21 in doubles. She also earned second-team all-conference honors in singles last season and doubles in 2020-21.
An environmental science major, DelRosso finished the season with a 13-4 singles record, playing most at the No. 5 position, and was 5-0 versus Landmark Conference opponents. In addition, she posted a 14-4 doubles, primarily with sophomore
Courtney Bresler at the No. 3, and was 5-0 in Landmark Conference matches. In the postseason, DelRosso won her first three doubles matches, posting wins versus Scranton and Goucher in the Landmark Conference Championships and Hunter in the first round of the NCAA Championships. For her career, she finished 38-12 in singles and 36-15 in doubles, placing her fifth in school history in singles wins and tied for fifth in doubles victories.
Christodoulou, a political science major, earned All-Landmark Conference accolades in both singles and doubles for the third year in a row, collecting first-team honors in singles for the third straight season and landing first-team doubles recognition for the second consecutive campaign. Playing mostly at No. 2 singles, Christodoulou notched a 12-4 record and was 5-2 in Landmark Conference play. In doubles, she went 15-3 while playing mostly with Bloemendaal at No. 2. She also perfect (6-0) in doubles against Landmark Conference opponents. In addition, she earned a pair of postseason doubles wins with victories versus Scranton and Hunter.
A neuroscience major, Kalorin earned First-Team All-Landmark Conference recognition in both singles and doubles for the second year in a row this past season. She posted a 16-5 record, mostly at No. 3 singles, and was undefeated (7-0) in Landmark Conference play. In doubles, Kalorin finished with an overall record of 18-4 while competing primarily with freshman
Sofiya Lebedeva at the No. 1 position. The pair earned a No. 5 regional ranking, and they also broke the school record for doubles wins in a season by two. Kalorin was selected as the MVP of the Landmark Conference Championships after finishing a combined 4-0 in Drew's two postseason victories.
