MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's soccer team came back from a two-goal deficit, but SUNY New Paltz answered in the 70th minute and handed the Rangers a tough 3-2 setback in the final match of the Drew Fall Festival on Sunday in Ranger Stadium.
Senior
Rebecca Racine and junior
Alexa Krause netted one goal apiece for Drew (2-3) while fifth-year

New Paltz (2-2-1) scored twice in the opening half, only to the Rangers (2-3) pull even in the second period. In the 56th minute, Shatel sent a booming free kick into the box, where it deflected by the goalie. Racine raced in and tapped it in for her first goal of the season, making it a 2-1 game.
Nine minutes later, Shatel sent in a cross from left side to Krause on the far post. She zipped a shot through the keeper's hands for her sixth goal of the season and her fourth in two games, tying the match with 25 minutes to go.
The Hawks were quick to answer, however, as Katie Buquicchio tapped a ball into the net as she tumbled over the goalie following a free kick.
