Alexa Krause posted two goals and one assist while graduate student
Meghan Sharkey posted one goal and one assist as the Drew University women's soccer team captured their home opener with a 3-1 victory over King's College on Sunday at a sweltering Ranger Stadium.
Krause, who posted her eighth career multi-goal game, picked up where she left off last season, when she notched 15 goals and four assists en route to earning first-team all-conference and third-team all-region honors.

Sarah Crowley made three saves for the Rangers (1-1) to earn her first collegiate victory.
Krause struck for an unassisted goal in the 17th minute before Sharkey struck five minutes later, looping in a deep shot just inside the upper-right corner. The Rangers carried a 2-0 lead into halftime after outshooting the Monarchs 8-6 in the opening period.
Krause found paydirt again just three minutes into the second half, taking a long pass from Sharkey and beating the goalie 1-on-1.
King's (0-2) broke up Crowley's shutout bid in the 65th minute, when Brooke Finlay one-timed a cross from Anya Chervak.
The Rangers outshot the Monarchs 8-4 in the second half.
Ashlyn Crawford started in goal for King's and made two saves in the opening half before giving way to Aspen Wallin, who stopped three shots in the second period.
The Rangers are back in action on Wednesday, when they visit Stockton University at 5 p.m. in a non-conference matchup.
