LIMERICK, Pa. – Sophomore Thomas Hurley earned medalist honors for the first time in his career and led the Drew University men's golf "B" squad to the title at the 15-team Ursinus College Fall Invitational on Thursday at Turtle Creek Golf Club.

As a whole, the Rangers have now captured five titles in eight events this season. Drew shot a 296 to win by 12 strokes over runner-up Goucher College.

Hurley fired a collegiate-low, even-par 73 to edge out five other golfers by one stroke. He carded four birdies, including three on the back-9 in which he shot a 35.

Two Rangers were among the five-way tie for second at 74 – sophomore Eric Castner and junior Liam Larkin. Castner posted a steady performance, shooting par on all but two holes on the day. Larkin shot a season-low while notching four birdies.

Freshman Brian Cotter rounded out the team scoring with a 75, tying for seventh among 82 competitors while also shooting four birdies. Junior Max Conklin also competed and tied for 20th with an 80.

The Rangers continue their season Oct. 20-21 at the Melee, held at Ford's Colony Country Club in Williamsburg, Va.
