Krause Scores Twice, Reaches 100-Point Milestone in Win

TOWSON, Md. – Senior Alexa Krause scored a pair of goals and eclipsed the career 100-point mark, lifting the Drew University women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory at Goucher College in a Landmark Conference matchup Saturday.

The Rangers (7-4-4, 3-1-2 LC), who won their third game in a row, remain in a three-way tie for second place in the Landmark Conference standings.

Krause reached her milestone when she scored the game's opening goal in the ninth minute, giving her 100 points on the nose. She became just the fourth player in team history to reach the mark and the first since Emma Campbell C'16 in 2015. In addition, she is just the fifth player in Landmark Conference history to achieve the feat.

The Rangers piled up a 32-2 shot advantage, but Goucher's Madison Gutierrez kept it close with 17 saves.

Sophomore Sarah Crowley turned aside one shot to earn her fifth shutout of the year.

Krause's milestone goal gave Drew all of the offense it would need. She picked an unsuccessful clearing attempt by the Gophers, made one quick touch, and buried a shot just over the fingers of Gutierrez.

Sophomore Sophia Lara added an insurance tally in the 43rd minute to put the Rangers up 2-0 before Krause struck again, setting the final score with her tally. It was Krause's third multiple goal outing this year.

The Rangers continue their season on Wednesday, when they visit the University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference tilt starting at 7 p.m.
