Women’s Volleyball Concludes Regular Season at New Paltz

NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The Drew University women's volleyball team concluded its regular season with a tri-match at SUNY New Paltz on Saturday.
 
The Rangers opened the day by capturing the opening set versus Stevens, which entered the day with a 23-6 record. However, the Ducks prevailed by scores of 21-25, 25-18, 25-10, and 25-21. Drew then lost 3-0 (25-18, 25-8, 25-20) to New Paltz.
 
Versus Stevens, freshman Lindsey Millis posted a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs while junior Teeya Desgoutte registered eight kills and 11 digs. Junior Emily Shirk totaled seven kills and 14 digs, senior Alyssa Baron collected seven kills and three blocks, sophomore Alyssa Rachwal handed out 28 assists, and senior Genevieve Sarinelli tallied 21 digs.
 
Twelve different Rangers saw the floor versus the New Paltz, with freshman Skyler Ribitzki netting a team-high five kills. Shirk distributed 17 assists while Sarinelli and freshman Aidyn Stone picked up 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
 
Drew will compete in the Landmark Conference Championships for the second year in a row when the No. 6-seeded Rangers visit No. 3 seed Elizabethtown in the first round on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
