WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Drew University men's golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule on Saturday and Sunday with The Ruckus, held at Williamsburg National Golf Club.

The Rangers shot a 653 (329-324) over the 36-hole event, placing fifth among nine teams.
 
Husson University shot a 620 (310-309) to edge Washington & Jefferson College (305-315) by one stroke for the team title.
 
Sophomore Elliot Parker picked up right where he left off following a tremendous fall season, tying for second place among 50 competitors with a 3-over-par 147 (74-73). He shot five birdies for the tournament, including three in the opening round on Saturday. Parker and Eastern University's Zach Bruecks (73-74) finished just two strokes behind medalist Brian O'Dea (76-69) of Christopher Newport University.
 
Freshman Nicky Riscica, competing as an individual, was Drew's second finisher, tying for 11th with a 155 (74-81) while firing a pair of birdies in each round. Sophomore Shiv Bhaskar, who carded three birdies, tied for 17th with a 160 (80-80) while freshman Ryan Ricci tied for 35th with a 172 (89-83).
 
Freshman Eric Castner rounded out the team scoring for the Rangers, tying for 40th with a 174 (86-88) while notching one birdie. Junior Mike Ford also competed and placed 45th with a 179 (89-90), including two opening-round birdies.
 
Drew continues its season on Thursday, April 4, when a "B" team competes at the Elizabethtown College Invitational at the Hershey Country Club in Hershey, Pa.
