FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. – The Drew University men's golf team competed in the opening round of the Gettysburg College Shootout on Saturday at Penn National Golf Course.
 
The Rangers shot a 311 and are in seventh place among 12 teams.
 
Leading the way for Drew was sophomore Elliot Parker, who carded a 1-over-par 73 and birdied three holes. He is in a three-way tie for fourth place among 63 golfers.
 
Sophomore Shiv Bhaskar is currently second for the Rangers after shooting a 77, placing him in a tie for 18th. Rounding out the team score were freshman Eric Castner (80) and sophomore Liam Larkin (81). Junior Mike Ford is also in action and opened with an 85.
 
Gettysburg holds a two-stroke lead (296) over McDaniel College in the team standings while Peyton Mussina of Penn Tech is the individual leader with a 3-under 69.
 
The second and final round tees off on Sunday at 10:35 p.m.
