Parker, Bhaskar Lead Rangers on Second Day at Camp Lejeune

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – Sophomore Elliot Parker fired a 3-under-par 69 while classmate Shiv Bhaskar posted a 72, leading the Drew University men's golf team on the second day of the Camp Lejeune Championship, hosted by Oglethorpe University, on Saturday at Paradise Point Golf Club.
 
As a team, the Rangers have shot 610 (310-300) through 36 holes and on Saturday moved up four places to 11th in a highly-competitive field of 20. Oglethorpe leads the team standings with a 568 while Babson College is second with a 580.
 
Parker (71-69) fired three birdies and shot a 3-under 32 on the front-9, and he also eagled the par-5 18th hole. For the day, he soared 10 places in the individual standings and enters Sunday's final round just two strokes behind leader Jackson Hiller of Oglethorpe. Parker shares second place with three other golfers.
 
Bhaskar parred every hole on the front-9 and birdied three holes on the back-9 and is now tied for 41st in the field of 100 with a 153 (81-72).
 
Senior Matvey Pangan (80-78) and freshman Nicky Riscica (77-81) enter Sunday tied for 71st with a 158 while junior Mike Ford (80-86) is also in action.
 
Sunday's final round begins at 8:30 a.m.
