All-Landmark Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Team
TOWSON, Md. – Sophomore
Emily Camlet and senior
Melina Christodoulou have each been named to the All-Landmark Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships by virtue of their top-three finish at the conference championship meet this past weekend at Elizabethtown College.
Camlet earned second-team all-conference honors in recognition of her runner-up finish in the 400-meter dash on Sunday, grabbing the silver medal with personal-record time of 57.40 – just 0.25 seconds off the winning pace. She also garnered honorable mention for her third-place performance in the 200-meter dash later in the day. After clocking the fastest time in the field in prelims on Saturday (25.98), Camlet pocketed the bronze in the final, finishing in a nearly-identical time of 26.02.
Camlet has now earned three All-Landmark Conference honors, as she also captured first-team recognition in honor of her gold medal in the 400 at the conference indoor championship back in February.
Christodoulou capped an incredible weekend as a student-athlete by garnering honorable mention with her third-place showing in the high jump. One day after helping Drew's women's tennis team win the Landmark Conference title, she leaped 5-1 3/4 (1.57m), tying Lexi Groff of Moravian University. However, was awarded third place by virtue of Groff having fewer misses. It was the second All-Landmark Conference award of the year for Christodoulou, who was also a first-team honoree after winning the same event at the indoor conference meet.
The Rangers, competing in their inaugural season of varsity track & field, scored 35 points and finished in seventh place, placing in front of Goucher Colleg
