MADISON, N.J. – Scott Veith has resigned as the men's and women's tennis head coach at Drew University and will take over the same position at Wilkes University, it was recently announced.

Veith leaves the Forest following a highly-successful seven-year run in which he posted a combined record of 169-70 to go with five Landmark Conference titles, five NCAA Division III Championship appearances, and six Landmark Conference Coach of the Year titles.

"I want to thank Drew University, the coaches, and the student-athletes I got to work with the past seven years," said Veith. "We had a special run."

"We would like to thank Scott for his tremendous contributions to the Drew University Athletic Department during his time at the Forest," said Director of Athletics Christa Racine. "He was instrumental in leading the tennis programs to a number of remarkable achievements, and we wish him well as he continues his coaching career."

On the men's side, Veith guided the Rangers to a stellar 100-29 record, including a 36-8 mark in Landmark Conference play, and finished as the second-winningest coach in program history. The squad reached the final of the Landmark Conference Championships in each of his last four seasons and captured the title in both 2021 and 2023, winning their NCAA Division III Championship first-round match in the same years. He was honored as the Landmark Conference Men's Tennis Coach of the Year three years in a row from 2021 through 2023.

Drew's women's tennis squad assembled a 69-41 record under Veith, making him the all-time winningest coach in team history. The Rangers finished 30-12 in Landmark Conference action under Veith and won their last 23 regular-season conference matches. The team also won the Landmark Conference title in each of Veith's final three seasons and won its first-round match in the NCAA Division III Championships in each of the last two seasons. He was honored as the LC Coach of the Year in each of those years.

Under Veith's guidance, the Rangers captured 53 All-Landmark Conference selections, four Landmark Conference Player of the Year awards, and three LC Rookie of the Year honors. In addition, the Rangers accumulated 58 Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll citations while four student-athletes captured the Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year award.
