Men’s Cross Country Opens Season at Misericordia

DALLAS, Pa. – The Drew University men's cross country team kicked off its 2024 season Friday evening at the Misericordia Invitational.
 
Freshman Matt Ellis was the top finisher for the Rangers, placing 27th in the field of 104. He cruised the 4,000-meter course in 13 minutes, 26 seconds.
 
Sophomore Thomas Edwards was the next finisher for the Rangers, taking 31st in 13:45, while junior Dylan Crain came in 41st in 14:00. Freshman Eliot Vishnevsky placed 73rd in 15:04 while sophomore Aidan Rosser completed the team scoring, taking 93rd in 16:32.
 
Bryce Ryder of Marywood won the race in 12:29 while Dickinson claimed the team title with 25 points. The Rangers came in seventh in the nine-team field with a team score of 180.
 
Drew picks up its schedule on Saturday, Sept. 7, when it travels to the Lebanon Valley Dutchmen Invitational, held at Union Canal Tunnel Park – the host of this year's Landmark Conference Championships – in Lebanon, Pa.
