MAHWAH, N.J. – Four different Rangers scored a goal and the Drew University women's soccer team picked up a 4-2 non-conference victory at Ramapo College on Wednesday evening.
After the Roadrunners scored the first goal of the game, the Rangers (2-2-2) rallied with four unanswered tallies.
Drew, which doubled up the Roadrunners in shots (20-10), posted its highest offensive output since a 7-0 win over Delaware Valley on Sept. 19 of last season.
Ramapo (2-3-1) struck in the 16th minute before sophomore
Maeve O'Murchu tied it up with her second goal of the season, converting a feed from senior
Alexa Krause in the 25th minute.
Graduate student
Rebecca Racine put the Rangers in front to stay when she finished off a pass from junior
Molly Kuhn in the 29th minute. Sophomore
Ella Reyngoudt capped Drew's big first half, scoring on a pass from freshman
Megan Jozak.
Krause gave the visitors a commanding 4-1 advantage with an unassisted tally in the 54th minute. Ramapo set the final score with a 72nd-minute goal.
Sophomore
Sarah Crowley started in goal for the Rangers and made one save while playing the first half. Freshman
Dani Iannelli turned aside three shots in the second half while making her collegiate debut.
The Rangers continue their season on Saturday, when they visit Rowan University in another non-conference tilt starting at 1 p.m.
