GALLOWAY, N.J. – The Drew University women's volleyball team lost by a 3-0 count at Stockton University in a non-conference matchup Thursday evening.
The Ospreys (7-1) won by scores of 25-15, 25-23, and 25-15.
Senior
Emily Shirk led the Rangers with eight kills and six digs while sophomore
Alyssa Rachwal dished out 18 assists. Senior
Genevieve Sarinelli led Drew in digs with nine.
Stockton led just 14-10 in the opening set before the hosts took control with a 10-1 run.
The Rangers led most of the way in the second set and held an 18-14 advantage before Stockton rallied with five unanswered points to take the lead. The set was tied 19-19 before the Ospreys pulled away with a 4-0 run.
Drew led 3-1 early in the final stanza before Stockton used another 10-1 run to assume an 11-4 advantage. The hosts led by at least four the rest of the way.
The Rangers return to the court on Friday, when they host Bryn Mawr College at 7 p.m. in a non-conference outing.
