TOWSON, Md. – Sophomore Sam Dolan has captured the Landmark Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week award, it was announced on Tuesday.
 
Dolan tied for 13th in a field of 108 golfers at the West Pines Intercollegiate, held on Oct. 6-7 in Douglasville, Ga. He shot a 3-over-par 216 (71-73-72) for the 54-hole event and finished with seven birdies, including three in both the first and last rounds. His efforts helped the Rangers finish eighth out of 21 teams with an 878 (+26).
 
For the season, Dolan has averaged a 71.7 over seven rounds and three events while shooting 73 or lower in every round. He shot an even-par 70 at the Gauntlet and fired season-low 71 (-1) at the Bowdoin College Invitational.
 
The Rangers return to action Oct. 19-20 at The Melee, held at Ford's Colony Country Club in Williamsburg, Va.
