TOWSON, Md. – Junior Avery Cohen has been recognized as the Landmark Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week, conference officials announced on Tuesday.
 
Cohen tied for sixth in a field of 60 with a 3-over-par 145 (72-73) to lead the Rangers to a fifth-place finish among 11 teams at The Melee, held at Ford's Colony Country Club in Williamsburg, Va. this past Sunday and Monday. He shot six birdies, including four in the opening round on Sunday. Cohen helped the Rangers finish with a team score of 597 (301-296).
 
For the season, Cohen has averaged a 74.3 over nine rounds and four events.
 
The Rangers conclude their fall season on Saturday and Sunday at the Landmark Conference Fall Preview, held at Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort in Shawnee on Delaware, Pa.
