BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Moravian University scored a pair of second-half goals and the host Greyhounds topped the Drew University men's soccer team 2-0 in a Landmark Conference affair Tuesday evening.
In a tighlty-contested affair, both teams were credited with 17 shots and three corner kicks.
Sophomore
Cameron Zutic made his second start of the season for the Rangers (6-3-2, 0-2-1 LC) and made four saves while Casey Prajzner stopped seven shots for Moravian.
Each side took seven shots in a scoreless first half, when both Zutic and Prajzner made three saves.
The Greyhounds (5-4-3, 1-0-2 LC) broke through in the 48th minute, when Colin Woehlcke scored on an assist from Colin Moyer.
Sophomore
Turkcan Curak put a potential game-tying shot on goal in the 60th minute that was saved by Prajzner. The Rangers were then forced to play a man down over the final 29 minutes after receiving a red card and doubled their lead with a goal from Logan Moore in the 64th minute.
Drew managed three more shots on goal down the stretch but all three were turned aside.
The Rangers pick up their schedule on Saturday, when they host Susquehanna University at 4:30 p.m. in another Landmark Conference affair.
