Women’s Volleyball Sweeps Wilkes in Landmark Finale

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Drew University women's volleyball team won its final Landmark Conference match of the season with a sweep over Wilkes University in a tri-match on Saturday at Wilkes.
 
Competing in a tri-match, the Rangers defeated the Colonels by scores of 25-22. 25-20, and 25-19.
 
Drew closed the day with a 3-1 loss to Ramapo College in a non-conference matchup, with the Roadunners winning 25-21, 26-24, 18-25, 25-14.
 
With the victory over Wilkes, Drew finished the season tied with Elizabethtown College for sixth place in the final Landmark Conference standings; however, Etown captured the sixth and final conference playoff spot due to its head-to-head victory over Drew.
 
Sophomore Lindsey Millis posted a pair of big performances for the Rangers. Against Wilkes, she registered 16 kills and 10 digs while hitting .462, and she followed up with 16 kills and 16 digs against Ramapo. Also versus Wilkes, junior Alyssa Rachwal and freshman Cristina Coombs dished out 14 and 12 assists, respectively, while freshman Coco Otto recorded 11 digs. Sophomore Aidyn Stone contributed 10 digs, and senior Marissa Guajardo served up three aces.
 
Against Ramapo, Rachwal handed out 22 assists while Otto scooped 21 digs while Stone contributed 19 digs.
 
The Rangers close out the season with a pair of non-conference matches, including a home tilt versus Brooklyn College on Thursday at 7 p.m. before visiting Manhattanville University on Saturday at noon.
