PHILADELPHIA - Junior Emily Camlet broke the Landmark Conference indoor record in the 400-meter dash, leading the Drew University women's track & field team at the Widener Indoor Classic on Saturday at the University of Pennsylvania's Ott Center.

Camlet raced to a time of 56.59 seconds to better the former record of 57.62 set by Corinne Glass of Moravian University in 2016. She placed second in her heat and fourth overall in a field of 40, finishing behind only a trio of Division I competitors from Lehigh, Lafayette, and Temple, and was nearly three seconds faster than her closest Division III opponent. Her time moves her up to 15th on the current NCAA Division III performance list.

For the day, Camlet enjoyed another strong all-around performance, as she also placed ninth among 39 competitors in the 60-meter dash (7.95) and took 11th in a field of 49 in the 200-meter dash (25.73).

Sophomore Sage Hendershot also turned in a big showing for the Rangers, taking runner-up honors in a field of 33 in the long jump with a mark of 5.57 meters (18-3 1/4).

The Rangers continue their season with the Landmark Conference Championships on Saturday, March 1 at Prince George's Sports and Learning Complex in Landover, Md.
