TOWSON, Md. – Anthony Hernandez and
Brandon Kobryn have swept the Landmark Conference Baseball Athlete of the Week awards, it was announced on Monday.

Hernandez, the Athlete of the Week, went 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, two runs, and four RBIs to help power Drew to its first victory of the season, a 13-3 win over Saint Elizabeth on the second and final day of the Madison Avenue Challenge hosted by FDU-Florham. For the week, he batted .571 (4-for-7) as the Rangers finished 1-1.

Through the team's first three games, Hernandez is batting .417 with four RBIs and three runs scored.

The Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Week, Kobryn pitched five scoreless innings to earn the win over Saint Elizabeth. He carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning before the Eagles singled twice. Kobyrn yielded just two hits and two walks while striking out three.

On the season, Kobryn is 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA over two games and seven innings pitched. He has struck out five and allowed just four hits.

The Rangers (1-2) continue their season on Saturday, when they visit William Paterson University for a non-conference outing starting at noon.
