Camlet, Hendershot Pace Women’s Track & Field at Ursinus

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Junior Emily Camlet and sophomore Sage Hendershot combined for five top-four finishes and one school record to lead the Drew University women's indoor track & field team at the Frank Colden Invitational, hosted by Ursinus College on Saturday.
 
Camlet won both the 200- and 400-meter dash, posting times of 26.03 and 59.15 seconds, respectively, while racing against over 30 competitors in both events. She also qualified for the final of the 60-meter dash and took fourth in 8.00.
 
Hendershot won the 60-dash, beating out 47 opponents while lowering her own school record to 7.84 seconds. In addition, she was the runner-up a field of 23 in the long jump with a leap of 5.46 meters (17-11).
 
Sophomore Lauryn Brown contributed a pair of top-seven finishes, including a third-place finish among 14 competitors in the triple jump. She leaped 10.72 meters (35-2). She was also seventh in the long jump with a mark of 4.91 meters (16-1 1/2).
 
Freshman April Kusnier added a third-place finish in a field of 43 competitors in the mile, cruising the eight-lapper in 5:40.03.
 
Sophomore Lauren Rizzolo bettered her own program record in the weight throw with heave of 12.77 meters (41-10 3/4). Also finishing in the top half of their field were freshman Perri Rubin, who was 18th in the mile (5:52.93), and Brown in the 60-meter dash (8.49).
 
The Rangers competed in one final meet before the Landmark Conference Championship when they travel to the Widener University Feb. 14-15.
