Sage Hendershot placed 16th in the long jump to capture Second Team All-America honors on the first day of the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday at Nazareth University.

Emily Camlet were making the first-ever appearances at the NCAA Championships for the Drew University track & field program, which is in its second season of varsity competition.

The top-eight finishers in every event earn First Team All-America honors while the ninth through the 16th-place finishers capture Second Team All-America status.

Hendershot recorded her top jump of the day on her second attempt, soaring 5.50 meters (18- 1/2), marking the sixth time this season that she jumped over 18 feet. She nearly bettered her distance on her last event, hitting the sand at 5.48 meters (17-11 3/4).

Camlet placed 20th in the 400-meter dash, finishing with a time of 58.96 seconds. It was the seventh time in eight races that she broke 59 seconds in the event for the season.

The remainder of the will compete in the second and final day of the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge on Saturday.
