2025 CSC Academic All-District Teams

MADISON, N.J. – Four members of the Drew University women's basketball team have been honored for their achievements on the court and in the classroom with their selections to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

Senior guard Isabelle Lalo was honored for the third time while junior forward Brenna Hezel and graduate forward Gracie Hezel received the award for the second year in a row. In addition, sophomore guard Alice Altomare was earned her first CSC Academic All-District honor.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.

To be nominated for the CSC Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or significant reserve who has appeared in at least 90 percent of the team's games or started 66 percent of the team's contests.

A Political Science major, Altomare played in all 27 games this past season and made one start. She averaged 7.0 points per game and led the team in 3-pointers made with 46.

Brenna Hezel, a Biology major, appeared in all 27 games and made 26 starts this year, averaging 4.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. In addition, she led the team with 41 blocked shots.

A Master of Arts in Teaching student, Gracie Hezel played in every game and started once this past year. She scored 77 points and grabbed 81 rebounds for the year.

Lalo, a Psychology major, played in every game as well and made two starts this past year. She accumulated 46 points, 18 assists, and 15 rebounds for the season.

The four helped the Rangers finish 15-12 and 9-9 in Landmark Conference play this past year. Drew qualified for the Landmark Conference Championship tournament for the second year in a row and knocked off Susquehanna in the first round for the team's first-ever conference playoff victory.
