LITITZ, Pa. – The Drew University men's golf "B" team placed fifth out of 12 teams at the Franklin & Marshall College Spring Invitational on Monday at Bent Creek Country Club.
The Rangers shot a 296, finishing behind Division II Millersville (281), Franklin & Marshall (283), Franklin & Marshall "C" (287), and Dickinson (290).
Junior
Liam Larkin was Drew's top finisher, shooting a 1-over-par 72 to place in a four-way tie for 11th place among 65 competitors. He fired one birdie and eagled the par-5 18th hole.
Freshman
Brian Cotter and sophomore
Thomas Hurley were among the eight golfers who tied for 24th place, with each shooting a 74. Cotter finished with three birdies while Hurley birdied one hole.
Sophomore
Eric Castner completed the team scoring for Drew, shooting a 76 to finish in a three-way tie for 36th place. He posted a pair of birdies.
Junior
Max Conklin also competed and placed in a four-way tie for 45th, carding a 78 that included three birdies.
The Rangers compete at the Landmark Conference Championships on Saturday and Sunday at the Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort in Shawnee on Delaware, Pa.
