FLEETWOOD, Pa. – The Drew University men's golf "B" team placed sixth among 13 teams at the Moselem Cup, held at Moselem Springs Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.
The Rangers, fighting windy conditions in the second round, shot a 639 (308-331).
Drew was paced by junior
Max Conklin (75-83) and senior
Mike Ford (78-80), each of whom shot a 158 to finish in a three-way tie for 15th in a field of 66. Both recorded three birdies for the tournament as well.
Senior
Myles Cherry was Drew's third finisher, tying for 23rd with a 161 (77-84) while junior
Shiv Bhaskar and sophomore
Thomas Hurley finished in a seven-way tie for 26th with a 162, with each shooting 78-84.
Allegheny College won the team title with a 611 (300-311) while Tiaan Diedericks of Ferrum College claimed medalist honors with a 7-over-par 147 (71-76).
The Rangers will compete as a split squad on Thursday, when the primary team travels to the Ursinus College Spring Awakening at Turtle Creek Golf Course in Limerick, Pa. The "B" team will compete in the William Paterson Invitational at Sunset Valley Golf Course in Pompton Plains, N.J.
