USTFCCCA Division III All-Metro Region Team

NEW ORLEANS – Three members of the Drew University women's track & field team have earned a spot on the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III All-Metro Region Women's Outdoor Track & Field Team.

The top-five individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned all-region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-three relay teams.

Sophomore Sage Hendershot captured all-region honors in two events after finishing the season ranked No. 1 in the Metro in the long jump (5.94 meters/19-6) and No. 2 in the 100-meter dash (12.13 seconds). Meanwhile, junior Emily Camlet was recognized for her No. 3 ranking in the 400-meter dash (55.61) while sophomore Lauryn Brown earned her award after finishing No. 4 in the triple jump (11.55 meters/37-10 3/4).

Hendershot, who broke the Landmark Conference record with her mark in the long jump, has now earned six all-region awards for her career after capturing the same honor in the long jump during both the indoor and outdoor seasons in each of the past two years as well as in the 60-meter dash this past winter. Camlet, who also set a Landmark Conference record with her 400 time, picked up her third all-region accolade after earning the same award in the 400 during this past indoor season as well as the last year's outdoor campaign. Brown was a first-time all-region recipient.

Hendershot qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in the long jump and will compete in the event on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio. She garnered Second Team All-America recognition in the event this past winter after finishing 16th at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.
