CSC Academic All-District Softball Team
MADISON, N.J. – Five members of the Drew University softball team have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, it was announced on Tuesday.

Fran O'Kleasky and
MacKenzie Pisani and juniors
Olivia Magliacano,
Haley Meierhofer, and
Zoey Shimp each captured a spot on the squad. It was the third year in a row that O'Kleasky garnered CSC Academic All-District honors while Pisani, Magliacano, and Meierhofer were recognized with the award for the second straight season.

Additionally, Magliacano, Meierhofer, and Pisani were chosen as CSC Academic All-America® finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 17.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be nominated for the CSC Academic All-America® program in softball, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average. They must also compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or must start in at least 66 percent of the team's contests while pitchers must make 17 appearances or pitch 25 innings. Each school may nominate a maximum of five student-athletes for the CSC Academic All-America® program in softball.

Magliacano, a Psychology major, was also named NFCA First-Team All-Region and First Team All-Landmark Conference earlier this month. The team's starting centerfielder, she led the Rangers in a slew of categories, including batting average (.386), runs scored (41), hits (54), RBIs (26), triples (10), home runs (six), slugging (.707), and on-base percentage (.442). She broke school records for both hits and triples in a year and has also tied the Landmark Conference single-season record for triples. In addition, she enjoyed a strong season defensively, firing in seven outfield assists.

An Italian Studies and Psychology major, Meierhofer captured both third team all-region and second team all-conference honors this year. Starting 34 games at second base, she finished as the team's fourth-leading hitter, batting .333. She also tied for second on the team with 19 runs scored and tied for third among the Rangers with seven doubles. Meierhofer was even more impressive in Landmark Conference play, leading the Rangers with a .429 batting average – a mark that tied for first among the conference leaders.

O'Kleasky, a Business and Computer Science double major, played in 36 games and made 34 starts at shortstop this past season. She tied for second on the team in RBIs (18) while also tying for the team lead in doubles (nine). In addition, she finished second among the Rangers in home runs (two). For her career, O'Kleasky played in 146 games and made 141 starts while finishing second in team history in doubles (36). She accumulated 118 total hits, which also included four triples and seven home runs.

A Spanish and International Relations double major, Pisani was named Honorable Mention All-Landmark Conference for the second year in a row this past season. She started all 41 games at first base and finished as the team's third-leading hitter, batting .341. She also tied for second among the Rangers with 18 RBIs and led the squad with 17 walks. Defensively, she fielded .991 and did not commit an error in Landmark Conference play. Over her three-year career at Drew, Pisani batted .333 over 112 games and 110 starts while belting 106 hits, including 22 doubles.

Shimp, a Marketing and Media & Communications doubles major, played in all 41 games and started 39 games as the team's starting leftfielder in 2025. She made her mark as the team's top base stealing threat, finishing a perfect 13-for-13 on the basepaths. She also batted .255 while tying for second on the team in both runs scored (19) and walks (14).
The Rangers finished the season with a record of 20-21 (7-9 LC) this past season, marking Drew's fourth consecutive 20-win season. The team also earned a spot in the Landmark Conference Championship tournament for the first since 2021 and the first time in a non-Covid year since 2008.
