SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Sophomore
Sage Hendershot won the long jump title in record-breaking fashion to lead the Drew University women's track & field team on the first day of the Landmark Conference Outdoor Championships on Saturday at Susquehanna University.
Â
Hendershot soared 5.94 meters (19-6), finishing over seven inches in front of runner-up Samantha Sharrow of Scranton. Her jump topped the former Landmark Conference Championship record of 5.89 meters, set by Susquehanna's Remi Acord in 2023, and would rank fourth in Division III entering the day. In addition, Hendershot bettered her own Drew and Landmark Conference overall record of 5.92 meters set at Moravian's Coach Pollard Invitational on April 18.

Hendershot has now swept the Landmark Conference long jump titles this year after capturing the indoor crown this past winter.
