All-Landmark Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Team

TOWSON, Md. – Three members of the Drew University women's track & field team have earned a spot on the All-Landmark Conference Team for their performances at the conference's outdoor championship this past weekend.

Junior Emily Camlet, sophomore Sage Hendershot, and sophomore Lauryn Brown all captured first-team honors for their individual victories while Hendershot gained an additional second-team award for finishing as the runner-up in another event.

Camlet posted a tremendous performance in the 400-meter dash, winning the event by 1.4 seconds with a time of 55.61 seconds – a personal record (PR) by over a second. Her time also smashed the Landmark Conference Championship meet record of 56.80 set by Sara Arbogast of Susquehanna in 2021, bettered her own school record and overall Landmark Conference record, and vaulted her to 19th on the current Division III performance list in the event.

It was the third, First Team All-Landmark Conference honor for Camlet, who also won the indoor 400 meter title during each of the last two seasons.

Camlet also reached the final of the 200-meter dash at this year's outdoor championship and placed fifth while lowering her own school record with a time of 25.81 seconds. In addition, she finished 14th in the 800-meter run in 2:27.44.

Hendershot also posted a record-breaking performance with her victory in the long jump, soaring 5.94 meters (19-6) to finish over seven inches in front of her closest competitor. Her jump topped the former Landmark Conference Championship record of 5.89 meters, set by Susquehanna's Remi Acord in 2023, and she is currently tied for eighth on the Division III performance list in the event. In addition, Hendershot bettered her own Drew and Landmark Conference overall record of 5.92 meters set at Moravian's Coach Pollard Invitational on April 18.

Hendershot has now swept the Landmark Conference long jump titles this year after capturing the indoor crown this past winter. In addition, she gained Second Team All-Landmark recognition in honor of her runner-up showing in the 100-meter dash. Her time of 12.13 seconds improved upon her own school record set the day before in preliminaries, and it also bettered the former meet record of 12.19 set by Moravian's Brianna Wright in 2014.

Brown captured All-Landmark Conference honors for the first time with her victory in the triple jump. She leaped 11.54 meters (37-10 1/2) to win the event by over six inches while coming within a quarter-inch of her own school record.

The Rangers continue their season on Friday at the Ramapo College Twilight Last Chance Meet.
