Six Rangers Earn Spot on CSC Men’s Academic All-District At-Large Team

CSC Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team

MADISON, N.J. – Six student-athletes at Drew University have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team, it was announced on Tuesday.
 
Senior Luke Bruther (lacrosse), senior Mike DeMayo (lacrosse), junior Joey Larmore (lacrosse), junior Elliot Parker (golf), senior Tristan Santulli, and senior Ephraim Smith (volleyball) earned the award for the Rangers.
 
DeMayo, Parker, and Smith captured a spot on the team for the second year in a row. Additionally, DeMayo and Parker were chosen as a CSC Academic All-America finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 9.

The 2025 Academic All-District® At-Large Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
To be nominated for the CSC Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average. Fencers must have competed in a minimum of four competitions or have at least one top-eight finish at a conference championship meet while golfers must have competed in 70 percent of the team's total varsity events that were team scoring events or compete in the team's conference championship. Lacrosse and volleyball players must have competed in 90 percent of the team's contests or have started 66 percent of the team's total matches played.
 
A Psychology major with a 3.65 GPA, Bruther was also named to the All-Landmark Conference Second Team this past spring. He finished second on the team with 43 points on 29 goals and 14 assists, helping the Rangers finish 10-7 and 6-3 in Landmark Conference play while earning the No. 3 seed and a home game in the conference championship tournament. He scored a season-high five goals in a Landmark Conference victory versus Lycoming, and he fired in the game-winning goal in overtime to give the Rangers a 10-9 win over Immaculata in the first round of the Leanos Cup. For his career, Bruther finished with 70 points on 48 goals and 22 assists.
 
DeMayo, a Business major with a 3.75 GPA, was also named to the All-Landmark Conference Second after another tremendous season. He led the Rangers in goals (46), assists (40), and points (86), finishing 10th (tied) in school history in goals, third in assists, and third in points. For his career, DeMayo piled up 260 points on 152 goals and a school-record 108 assists, and his totals for points and goals were both third in team history. DeMayo was also selected as the Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's lacrosse.
 
An Accounting major with a 3.76 GPA, Larmore played in all 17 games this past season, finishing with 15 points on nine goals and six assists. He finished with four points on three goals and one assists in a Landmark Conference victory at Wilkes University, and he also notched one goal and two assists in the team's Landmark win over Catholic University.
 
Parker, an Environmental Science major with a 3.58 GPA, is a CSC Academic All-America finalist for the second year in a row. He capped another stellar campaign on the links, earning First All-Landmark Conference and GCAA Division III All-Region honors while leading the Rangers to the Landmark Conference title and an appearance in the NCAA Division III Championships. He posted a team-leading 71.6 over 24 rounds and finished 29th in the final Division III Clippd rankings. Parker won six of his 12 events while finishing in the top-10 all but twice.
 
A Finance major with a 3.70 GPA, Santulli completed his fourth season with the Rangers this past season and finished with overall record of 37-27 while competing at foil. He qualified for the NCAA Regional Championships for the second year in a row and placed 39th. He also finished 9-4 at a MACFA "A vs. B" event, 8-7 at the Vassar College Invitational, 5-3 at Vassar's Lampell Invitational, and 4-2 at the Johns Hopkins University Invitational. Santulli finished his career with over 150 wins.
 
Smith, a Computer Science and Cybersecurity double major with a 3.90 GPA, concluded an outstanding career with an impressive senior campaign. He finished second on the team in kills per set (2.06), digs per set (1.51), and hitting percentage (.218). He posted three double-doubles on the season, including a clutch 13-kill, 12-dig performance that helped the Rangers clinch a berth in the Continental Volleyball Conference playoffs. For his career, Smith finished with school records for kills (842) and attack percentage (.218) while ending second in both service aces (84) and blocks (164) and third in digs (482).
