BRUNSWICK, Maine – Sophomore
Sam Dolan is tied for the lead in the individual standings after the opening round of the Bowdoin Invitational, held Saturday and Sunday at the Brunswick Golf Club.
As a team, the Rangers shot a 303 (+15) on Saturday and find themselves tied with St. Lawrence for fifth in a highly-competitive field of 17 teams. Amherst leads the way with a 294 and is followed by Bowdoin (298), Williams (299), and Tufts (299).
Dolan fired a 1-under-par 71 and shares the lead with Bowdoin's Henry Mariscal, Williams' Jack Estrella, and Western New England's Derek Johnson. He fired three birdies and shot even-par on 13 other holes.
Senior
Elliot Parker is second among the Rangers after opening with a 75, placing him in a tie for 18th place. He shot three birdies and was even-par on 11 holes. Junior
Thomas Hurley shot a 78 and is tied for 40th while junior
Avery Cohen and senior
Liam Larkin, who opened the day with a pair of birdies, each opened with a 79, placing them in a tie for 48th.
The final round will be held on Sunday starting at 9 a.m.
