TOWSON, Md. – In recognition of his outstanding season debut, senior Elliot Parker has been selected as the Landmark Conference Men's Golf Athlete of the Week.
 
It was the 14th career Landmark AOW honor for Parker, a two-time All-American. He turned in a tremendous performance in his season debut at The Gauntlet, held at the Bucknell Golf Club on Sept. 21-22. He won the event by seven strokes, as he shot an 8-under 132 (66-66), marking the lowest 36-hole score in team history (he shot a 9-under 135 last season for the lowest 36-hole score relative to par). His efforts helped lead the Rangers to the team title, as they shot a 572 (287-285) to win by five strokes over runner-up Farmingdale State in the field of 14 teams.
 
Parker also tied for 28th out of 97 golfers this past Saturday and Sunday at the Bowdoin Invitational, shooting a 153 (75-78) to help lead the Rangers to a fifth-place finish out of 17 teams as Drew shot a 603 (303-300).
 
The Rangers continue their season on Friday and Saturday, when the "B" team competes at the DeSales Invitational. The primary squad will compete at the West Pines Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday at the West Pines Golf Club in Douglasville, Ga.
