BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Five Rangers scored in double figures and the Drew University men's basketball team withstood a late Moravian University comeback, downing the Greyhounds 95-93 in a Landmark Conference affair Wednesday evening.

Eli Yusavage scored 21 points for the Rangers (13-3, 7-2 LC) while sophomore forward
Ben Manns posted career-highs of 19 points and 16 rebounds for his first career double-double.

Charlie Thornton dropped 16 points on 4-of-5 3-point shooting. Senior forward
David Musial contributed 11 points and seven rebounds.
Porter Kelly led Moravian 11-5, 5-4 LC) with 25 points.
In a battle between the top-two ranked offenses in the conference, there were a combined 28 3-pointers made.
After the two sides battled through 10 ties and 18 lead changes, Drew used a late 12-2 run while taking the lead for good. Junior guard
Taylor Perlmutter, playing in his former gym, kicked off the decisive stretch with a 3-pointer before Manns scored consecutive baskets on a tip-in and a go-ahead 3-pointer that made 86-84 with 3:39 showing. Senior guard
Devon Musial and Yusavage followed up with layups that put Drew up by six (90-84) with 2:16 remaining.
Another Manns tip-in made it 90-84 with 1:28 showing, but Moravian would not go quietly and sunk three more baskets down the stretch. Yusavage nailed a pair of big free throws with 39 seconds left that made it 94-90 before Chad Kratzer drained a 3-pointer for Moravian that trimmed the lead to one with 21 seconds remaining.
David Musial split a trip to the line with 17 seconds left, and after Kratzer missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer, Yusavage hauled in the rebound as time expired.
It was a back-and-forth affair in the opening half in which there were four ties and 12 lead changes and neither side led by more than five. After the Greyhounds scored the first five points of the contest, the Rangers took their first lead on a pair of Manns free throws that made it 11-9 five minutes into the game. Moravian led 24-21 midway through the period before Drew used a quick 11-2 run to go up 29-24 with 8:32 on the clock. Yusavage scored six points during the run and capped it with a conventional 3-point play.
The Greyhounds answered with a 10-0 run to go up by five with 6:29 to go. Neither team led by more than three the rest of the way and after De Los Reyes split a trip to the foul line with nine seconds left Moravian led 45-43 at the half.
It was more of the same in the second half, which included an additional six ties and seven lead changes. The Rangers had the upper hand early and enjoyed their largest lead of the night at 64-57 after
Devon Musial dropped in a layup that capped a 16-8 run.
Moravian came back to take the lead (67-66) with 10:08 on the clock before Drew briefly reclaimed the lead on a 3-pointer from Thornton that made it 76-73 with 6:38 to go, setting up the tight finish.
The Rangers return home on Saturday, when they take on Juniata College in another Landmark Conference affair starting at 2 p.m.
