11/3/2026 1:22:00 PM

MADISON, N.J. – Coming off a first-round victory, the Drew University women's soccer team will visit top-seeded Catholic University on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the semifinals of the Landmark Conference Championship tournament.

The No. 4-seeded Rangers (6-3-8, 3-1-5 LC) punched their ticket into the semis with a 1-0 victory over No. 5 Elizabethtown College this past Saturday courtesy of a goal from sophomore Riley Bent and six saves from senior Sarah Crowley.

The winner will advance to Saturday's championship match to play the winner of the other semifinal between No. 2-seeded University of Scranton and No. 6 Susquehanna University. The conference final will be held at the site of the highest remaining seed, with the champion earning an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Championship tournament.

Drew is making its 10th appearance in the Landmark Conference Championships and is looking to advance to the final for the fourth time after last reaching the championship game in 2022. They are 6-6-3 overall in the Landmark playoffs.

The Rangers and Catholic (11-3-3, 7-0-2 LC) will be facing each other in the Landmark Conference tournament for the fifth time and for fourth year in a row. Last year, the Cardinals captured a 3-0 decision in the first round while the Rangers prevailed 2-1 in the same round two years ago. Catholic also earned a 1-0 overtime victory in the 2023 semifinals after winning their inaugural postseason meeting in the 2014 semifinals. When the two teams met earlier this season on Oct. 17, the two sides played to a 0-0 tie in Ranger Stadium.

Under first-year Head Coach Ray Goon, the Rangers have yielded just nine goals for the season for a 0.53 goals-against average, a mark that ranks third in the Landmark Conference and 33rd in Division III. Crowley has posted a 5-1-6 record and leads the Landmark Conference while ranking sixth in Division III in save percentage (.910), and she also ranks second among the conference leaders and 36th in Division III in goals-against average (0.50). She has registered seven shutouts on the season.

Offensively, the Rangers have received a balanced attack in which nine different players have scored a goal. Freshman Hannah Stahl leads the Rangers with 10 points on three goals and a team-leading four assists while Bent has recorded a team-high four goals to go with one assist. Senior Ella Reyngoudt has contributed three goals and two assists while freshman Caitlin Zegler has also scored three goals. Junior Megan Jozak ranks second on the team with three assists.

Drew will be taking on a Catholic side that has allowed just seven goals for the year and ranks 19th in Division III in goals-against average (0.41). The Cardinals are appearing in the Landmark Conference semifinals for the fourth time in the last five years and are seeking to reach the final for the second year in a row after dropping a 1-0 decision to Scranton in last year's conference final.
