EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Drew University women's indoor track & field team registered five victories at East Stroudsburg University's DeShriver Invitational on Sunday.
The meet featured a mix of Division II, Division III, and unattached competition.
Individually, junior
Sage Hendershot captured the 55-meter dash while lowering her own school record with a time of 7.20 seconds. Senior
Kate Rice prevailed in a photo finish in the 800-meter run, winning by four-tenths of a second in 2:35.94 to beat out six competitors while sophomore
Perri Rubin defeated her lone competitor in the mile, breaking the tape in 6:05.20. Junior
Sophia Kim raced to a time of 12:12.68 as the lone competitor in the 3,000-meter run.
Drew also won the 4x400-meter relay, as sophomore
Isabella Fortunato, sophomore
April Kusnier, Rice, and Kim beat Queensborough Community College by 15 seconds with a time of 4:47.04.
Three additional Rangers finished in the top half of their events. Senior
Lauren Rizzolo placed fifth out of 19 competitors and was the top Division III finisher in the weight throw (12.79 meters), sophomore
Bella Polizzi came in third in the 800 (2:47.81), and senior
Matasia Christopher took fourth in a field of nine in the 200-meter dash (30.11).

Emily Camlet will compete at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational this coming Friday while the rest of the Rangers continue their season on Friday, Feb. 20, at the Fastrack Last Chance Meet, held at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island.
