HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Drew University men's volleyball played a nationally-ranked opponent for the second time in four days and lost by a final of 3-0 to No. 2 Juniata College in a Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) match Friday evening.
The Eagles won 25-16, 25-10, 25-23.

Gio Martin led the Rangers (12-13, 2-3 CVC) with a big night, throwing down 12 kills while making just two errors on 21 attempts for a .476 hitting performance. Sophomore

Michael Shipman finished with one block and in the process, broke his own single-season team record set last season. He now has 79 blocks on the year.
Tyler Phillips paced Juniata (23-2, 5-1 CVC) with 12 kills.
In an extremely close final set, the Rangers led by as much as four (19-15) late in the period before Juniata went back in front with a 5-0 run. Drew tied the match four times down the stretch, including twice on a pair of kills from Shipman, the second of which made it 22-22. A Juniata service error made it 23-all, but the Eagles clinched the match on a pair of kills.
Drew is back in action on Saturday, when they travel to Elizabethtown College for a tri-match. The Rangers face Elizabethtown at noon in a big CVC matchup before taking on Penn State-Schuylkill at 2 p.m. in a non-conference affair
