ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Drew University men's volleyball team came away with a split in a tri-match at Elizabethtown College on Saturday.
The Rangers (13-14, 2-4 CVC) opened the day with a 3-0 Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) loss to Elizabethtown (25-17, 25-16, 25-14) before ending it with a 3-0 non-conference win over Penn State-Schuylkill (25-11, 25-19, 25-16).
Against Elizabethtown, sophomore
Quinn Donahue finished with six kills and 17 assists while classmate
Nathaniel Fisbeck also posted six kills. Sophomore
Gavin Cantada added six digs.
Elizabethtown (17-9, 2-4 CVC) received 11 kills from Arun Gopinath and 10 from Braydon Ambruster.
Freshman
Lucas Mondin paced the Rangers versus PSU-Schuylkill with eight kills while Donahue notched six kills on .750 hitting. Sophomore
Gio Martin added six kills while classmate
Michael Shipman and freshman
Isaiah Harris added three blocks each. Sophomore
James Kovac contributed 11 digs.
The Rangers play their CVC finale on Friday, when they visit No. 9-ranked Southern Virginia University at 7 p.m.
