3/8/2026 9:00:00 PM

INDIANAPOLIS – Senior Emily Camlet of the Drew University women's track & field team has made the cut to compete in the 400-meter dash at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, it was announced on Sunday.

The two-day meet will be held on Friday and Saturday at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.

Camlet will be making her second appearance at nationals, as she also competed at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in the 400, finishing 20th.

Seeded 10th among the 20 qualifiers in her event, Camlet will compete in preliminary heats on Friday at 4:05 p.m. The final is scheduled for Saturday at 5:25 p.m.

Camlet posted a season-best time of 55.75 seconds when she captured the silver at the All-Atlantic Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships this past weekend, lowering her own Drew and Landmark Conference records by 0.11 seconds.

A competitor list for the entire meet can be accessed at https://www.leonetiming.com/2026/Indoor/NCAADIII/WomenSelected.pdf.

Camlet also broke the Landmark Conference indoor record in the 200-meter dash (25.04) this past Saturday at the AARTFC Championships.

Drew is competing in just its third season as a varsity track & field program, but has now had a student-athlete reach the NCAA Division III Championships in three straight seasons. Camlet and current teammate Sage Hendershot both reached the indoor championship last winter before Hendershot qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships this past spring. Hendershot qualified in the long jump on both occasions and finished 16th indoors to earn Second Team All-America honors before placing eighth outdoors, capturing First-Team All-America recognition.
