Men’s Golf One Stroke Out Heading Into Final Round at Camp Lejeune

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. – The Drew University men's golf team will enter the final round of the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate just one stroke off the lead on Sunday at Paradise Point Golf Course.
 
The Rangers opened with a 289 on Friday before firing a 290 on Sunday and are currently just 3 over par as a team. They trail only tournament host Oglethorpe University (288-290) in the competitive field of 24 teams.
 
Senior Elliot Parker leads the way individually for the Rangers. He has shot a pair of 71s in the first two rounds, collecting 11 birdies along the way, and is in a four-way tie for third place in the field of 120 golfers at 2-under-par. Jackson Hiller of Oglethorpe and Dylan Zhang of Swarthmore are tied for the lead with a 6-under.
 
Junior Thomas Hurley is second among the Rangers through the first two rounds, as he heads into Sunday's action tied for 26th at 2-under (71-75). He has registered nine birdies thus far.
 
Sophomore Sam Dolan fired Drew's top round of the tournament thus far on Saturday, carding a 2-under 70 after opening with a 78, and is tied for 30th at 4-under. He birdied six holes on Saturday.
 
Senior Shiv Bhaskar is also tied for 30th after shooting a pair of 74s in the first two rounds and has posted four birdies so far. Junior Avery Cohen is also in action and is tied for 39th at 5-over. He has birdied seven holes and carded an eagle on a par-4 hole on Friday.
