UPPERCO, Md. – Senior Liam Larkin finished in a three-way tie for first place to lead the Drew University men's golf "B" team at the Stevenson University Invitational on Thursday at Piney Branch Golf Club.
 
As a team, the Rangers shot a 315 to place fifth out of 19 schools.
 
Larkin fired a 2-over-par 72, tying him with Riles Ruby of Goucher and William Willis of Mount Aloysius. He shot two birdies, eagled the par-5 sixth hole, and shot even-par on nine other holes while finishing with at least a share of first place for the second time this season and third time in his career.
 
Drew's next three finishers – junior Eric Castner, senior Max Conklin, and freshman Shreyas Kuntamukkala – all shot an 81 to finish among seven golfers to tie for 34th in the field of 95. Kuntamukkala shot four birdies on the day while Castner birdied two holes. In addition, Conklin birdied the par-4 17th hole.
 
Freshman Noah Erickson was also in action and shot an 82 to finish in a tie for 41st place.
 
Drew returns to action on Wednesday, when it competes at the Conquer the Island tournament at Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort at Shawnee on Delaware, Pa.
