Grace Patane have been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week.
Monaco, the Defensive Athlete of the Week, posted nine caused turnovers and eight ground balls to go with four draw controls and one goal in a 2-0 week for the Rangers. In her top showing, she posted six caused turnovers, six ground balls, two draw controls, and one goal in a 15-8 Landmark Conference victory at Elizabethtown College. She followed up with three CTs, two GBs, and two DCs in a 19-10 conference win at Juniata College in which the Rangers clinched a spot in the Landmark Championship tournament.
For the season, Monaco has accumulated 46 ground balls and 39 caused turnovers. She leads the team and ranks fourth in the Landmark Conference in GBs and is second among the Rangers and the conference in CTs. She is also third on the team with 35 draw controls and has contributed offensively with eight goals.
The Offensive AOW, Patane recorded 10 goals and two assists to go with six ground balls and three caused turnovers last week. In her top performance, she posted six goals, one assist, five ground balls, and two caused turnovers in the victory at Juniata, where she also reached the 100-goal mark for her career. In addition, she recorded four goals, one assist, one GB, and one CT in the Elizabethtown win.
On the season, Patane has scored a team-leading 55 points on a team-high 37 goals while also dishing out 18 assists, a mark that ranks second on the team. Among the Landmark Conference leaders, she ranks seventh in points and eighth in goals. She has also posted 24 ground balls and 18 caused turnovers.
The Rangers (10-5, 5-3 LC) play their regular-season finale on Wednesday, when they host No. 12-ranked University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference tilt.
