Camlet Earns Sixth Landmark Athlete of the Week Award

TOWSON, Md. – For the sixth time this season, senior Emily Camlet has been selected as the Landmark Conference Women's Track & Field Track Athlete of the Week.
 
Camlet won the 400-meter dash at the Rick McCorkle Invitational, hosted by The College of New Jersey. She was timed at 56.74 seconds to prevail in a field of 30 Division I, II, III athletes and finished 0.89 seconds in front of her nearest competitor, Caden Simpson of Division I Monmouth, and was over a second faster than her nearest Division III opponent. She also placed third among 41 competitors in the 200-meter dash, clocking a time of 25.34 seconds.
 
For the season, Camlet leads the Landmark Conference and is ranked 28th in Division III in the 400 with a season-best time of 56.44 seconds, and she is also ranked second in the conference in the 200-meter dash (25.00).
 
The Rangers now compete at the Landmark Conference Championships, held Saturday and Sunday at Juniata College.
