CSC Academic All-District Women's Tennis Team
MADISON, N.J. – Four members of the Drew University women's tennis team have been honored for their efforts on the court and in the classroom with their selections to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Senior
Natalia Zamora, junior
Kapriana Payami, and sophomores
Nicole Kalorin and
Madison Williams all earned their first career CSC Academic All-District honor.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
To be nominated for the CSC Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average. In tennis, they must also compete in 75 percent of an institution's matches that include a team score.
An Anthropology major, Zamora competed at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles this past season. She recorded four victories in both singles and doubles play to finish her career with a 30-26 singles record and a 24-28 doubles mark. Zamora was an All-Landmark Conference Honorable Mention selection in 2024, when she posted a 10-6 singles record.
Payami, a Marketing and Business double major, competed primarily at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles this past season. She posted a 6-8 singles record, including a 4-2 mark in Landmark Conference matches, and she was 9-9 with junior
Danielle Pettoni in doubles action, going 5-3 in conference play.
A Public Health major, joined the Rangers as a transfer for the spring semester. She finished with a 7-8 singles record, including a 5-3 mark in Landmark Conference play, while competing primarily at the No. 3 position. She finished 10-6 in doubles action (6-2 in Landmark matches) with junior
Riley Roesel at the No. 2 spot, and the pair earned All-Landmark Conference Second Team honors in doubles.
Williams, a Political Science major, competed mostly at No. 4 singles and No. 1 doubles this past season. She recorded an 11-6 singles record, including a 6-3 showing in Landmark matches, and she notched five doubles victories while competing primarily with Zamora.
The Rangers registered a 10-11 record while posting a 5-4 mark versus Landmark Conference opponents this past season. Drew captured the No. 4 seed in the Landmark Conference Championships and reached the tournament semifinals.
