COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Sophomore Lauryn Brown posted a huge personal record (PR) in the triple jump, leading the Drew University women's track & field team at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships on Thursday at Ursinus College.

Brown entered the day with a PR and school record of 11.55 meters (37-10 3/4), but she smashed that mark with a leap of 11.90 meters (39- 1/2), placing third among 24 competitors and less than an inch behind event winner Jahmilia Dennis of Vassar College.

Brown's jump also vaulted her to 17th on the current NCAA Division III performance list on the final day before the NCAA announces its field for the Division III Championships, which will be held May 21-24 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The top 22 declared athletes in each event will advance to the national meet.

Seniors Emily Camlet and Lauren Rizzolo also competed at the event. On Thursday, Camlet chipped four-hundredths of seconds from her season-best time in the 400 while taking runner-up honors in a field of 29 with a time of 55.97. She finished just 0.45 seconds behind Grace Yarkosky of SUNY Plattsburgh, who is ranked 11th in Division III. Camlet, a two-time indoor national qualifier in the 400, is now 27th in Division III in the event for the outdoor season.

Camlet also raced in the 200-meter dash and placed seventh out of 33 competitors in 25.08 seconds. Her time was just eight-hundredths of a second off her own school record.

On Wednesday, Rizzolo competed in the final event of her career and placed 34th in the hammer with a toss of 38.89 meters (127-7).

The NCAA will announce its championship field on Friday on NCAA.com.
