TOWSON, Md. – Three members of the Drew University softball team have captured a spot on the All-Landmark Conference Team, it was announced on Thursday.

Senior outfielder Olivia Magliacano was selected to the first team while senior second baseman Haley Meierhofer and junior catcher Natalie Lorenzo garnered honorable mention status.

The trio has helped the Rangers to a second consecutive berth in the Landmark Conference Championship tournament after a regular season in which they posted a 23-17 record, including an 8-8 mark in Landmark Conference play. Drew earned the No. 3 seed in the Landmark Conference Championships after finishing in a three-way tie for third in the conference standings.

Magliacano earned her second-straight all-conference honor after also gaining first-team honors last year. She has registered another outstanding season, batting .354 while leading the Rangers in several categories, including doubles (nine), triples (seven), home runs (three), and RBIs (25). She was even better in Landmark Conference games in which she batted .449 with nine doubles, six runs, and seven RBIs. She opened the season with a homer and four RBIs in a win over Saint Joseph (Conn.), and she followed the following game by going 3-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and two RBIs. Magliacano posted 12 multi-hit games throughout the season, including three different three-hit performances. Defensively, she has committed just one error and fired in three outfield assists.

Meierhofer captured her third career All-Landmark Conference citation, becoming the third Ranger in team history to accomplish the feat after gaining second-team honors during both junior and freshman seasons. She is currently the team's fourth-leading hitter (.333) and is tied for second on the team with 26 runs scored. She is also second on the team with seven doubles and has added one triple, one home run, and 16 RBIs. In addition, she is tied for the team lead in stolen bases with 13. In one of her top performances, she went 4-for-4 with a double, three runs scored, and three steals in a win over Alfred State, marking one of her 10 multi-hit games during the season. Defensively, she has posted a .986 fielding percentage, making just two errors on the season.

Lorenzo earned her first all-conference honor while competing in her first year as the team's starting catcher. Defensively, she has anchored Drew behind the plate, where she has started all but six games this season and has thrown out nine would-be base stealers, the most by a Ranger since Nicole Spiotta C'11 had 13 in 2010. At the plate, she has batted .275 while posting five doubles, two triples, and 12 runs scored. She has recorded five multi-hit games for the year, including a win over Rockford in which she finished 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs, and two RBIs. Lorenzo will depart the Rangers following the season, as she will graduate in three years.

The Rangers will open Landmark Conference Championship play on Friday, when they take on No. 2-seeded Catholic University at 11 a.m. at tournament host and top-seeded Moravian University.
