MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's volleyball team split a pair of matches at a home tri-match on Saturday in Baldwin Gym.
The Rangers opened the day with a 3-2 (21-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-17, 15-5) loss to Rutgers-Newark but closed the afternoon with a sweep (25-22, 25-19, 25-22) of Penn State Abington.
Against Rutgers-Newark, senior
Victoria Latino turned in a big performance, throwing down a career-high 24 kills – a mark that ranks places her in a tie for sixth in Drew history. She also posted 12 digs and three aces.
Junior
Lindsey Millis contributed 10 kills and 26 digs versus the Scarlet Raiders while freshman
Aaliyah Anderson posted nine kills and three blocks. Senior
Alyssa Rachwal contributed 43 assists while senior
Meghan Pullen registered five blocks. Junior
Aidyn Stone pitched in with 21 digs.
Latino paced the Rangers against versus Abington with 12 kills, eight digs, and three aces. Millis added nine kills and 21 digs while junior
Corletta Harrison added eight kills and four blocks. Freshman
Hailey Kenefick and Rachwal handed out 18 and 16 assists, respectively, while Anderson notched four blocks. Stine scooped another 22 digs.
Drew returns to action on Wednesday, when it visits Rutgers-Camden in a non-conference affair starting at 7 p.m.
