CAMDEN, N.J. – Rutgers-Camden rallied to win the final three sets and the Drew University women's volleyball was handed a 3-2 setback in a non-conference tilt Wednesday evening.
The Rangers won each of the first two sets by a score of 25-19 before the Scarlet Raptors captured the last three sets 25-18, 25-20, and 15-9.
Junior
Lindsey Millis posted 16 kills and 20 digs for the Rangers while senior
Victoria Latino threw down 14 kills. Freshman
Hailey Kenefick handed out a season-high 20 assists while senior
Alyssa Rachwal distributed 19 assists. Defensively, junior
Aidyn Stone scooped a career-high 32 digs – a mark that ties her for 10th in team history – and freshman
Jessica Donnelly contributed four blocks.
In the fifth set, the Rangers and Raptors were tied 6-6 following a kill from junior
Skyler Ribitzki and an ace from Latino. Drew trailed just 10-8 after a kill from Millis, but that's when the hosts ended the match on a 5-1 run.
The Rangers return to action on Saturday, when they host the second of six tri-matches this season, taking on Saint Elizabeth University at noon and Sarah Lawrence University at 4 p.m.
