Box Score
TOWSON, Md. (October 2, 2010)- Junior Emily Weida (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day) scored both the game-tying and the go-ahead goal to help the Rangers defeat the Gophers of Goucher College this afternoon, 3-1.

Drew (6-4, 2-0 Landmark) picked up their second conference win of the season and improve to 6-0-1 in the regular season against conference opponents since early October of 2009. The Rangers remain undefeated all-time against Goucher (2-6-1, 0-2 Landmark).

After going down a goal just three minutes into the contest, the Rangers strung together then next three goals to lock up their second conference win of 2010. Weida notched the game at one, 21 minutes into the game when she fought off a Goucher defender and connected with her left foot to beat the Gopher keeper.

Weida was then credited with the gamewinner after receiving a through ball from
Dana Baumgartner (Seattle, Wash./Ballard) that was an easy knock in that put the Rangers up for good. Christine Meconi (Brooklyn, N.Y./Midwood) would give Drew an insurance goal with a little over seven minutes to play when she was able to beat a diving Goucher goalie off a shot from beyond the 18.

The Rangers would tally 36 shots in the contest compared to the seven of Goucher. The 36 shots ties a school record set back in 2003 when Drew defeated Kings, 9-0. The second-highest total also came against Goucher in 2007 when the Ranger offense unleashed 35.

Drew will take on the road to take on the College of Staten Island on Tuesday before coming back to prepare for the Royals of Scranton on Saturday at 1:00. The game will be apart of a Landmark Conference doubleheader that will be followed by the Men at 3:30
