The lone goal of the contest came right out of the gate in the second half when the Pioneers' leading scorer Michelle Marabondo found the back of the net in the 47th minute. The sophomore made a nice move at the top of the box to shake a defender and beat goalkeeper Kim Jaikisson (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia) to the left corner of the net.

Drew (8-6-1) matched William Paterson (10-4-2) shot for shot in the first half as both teams had four. The Pioneers would gain the edge in shots in the second half, outshooting the Rangers, 9-6. Forward Emily Weida (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day) had a team-high three shots in the game.

In net, Jaikisson made five stops  in the nine shots that she faced.

The Rangers will continue its Landmark Conference schedule this weekend when they take on Catholic on Saturday at 1:00. The Rangers will honor Senior Allison McCord (Southhampton, N.J./Bishop Eustace) prior to the game.
